Resilience Series
These 35 works on paper were commissioned by the Brehm Center for the CS Art Project, Resilience. Materials used are manufactured to repair, protect, and heal. They are found in hospitals, hardware stores, and the home. All things and creatures at some point experience brokenness and are in need of maintenance and preservation. Having resilience does not mean one doesn't get wounded, but that one is able to heal from these wounds. It's a kind of resistance to staying down. These works represent the flow and tenacity that is for me the visual representation of resilience.
