Movements and Overtures
This work was a commission for a dear friend's home. I worked with the family to fill an "awkward" corner above a fireplace in their SF Victorian. We explored variations on materials, colors, and design until it became an expression of the family's journey together, namely their move from the eastern U.S. to Northern California. I used various household textiles such as shelf liner, lawn chair mesh, and towels with acrylic pigments.
